The severity of an upset stomach can range from slightly annoying to extremely uncomfortable and even painful. But if treated timely and effectively, it is usually not a serious problem.
An upset stomach often is coupled with diarrhea, which is the frequent passage of stools that are loose and watery.

  Needs to have a healthy amount of ''good'' bacteria in the digestive tract, and many yogurts are made using active, good bacteria. One of the words you’ll be hearing more of in relation to yogurt is ''probiotics.'' Probiotic, which literally means ''for life,'' refers to living organisms that can result in a health benefit when eaten in adequate amounts.
 Simply eat two to three cups of yogurt daily until you get relief. You can also add banana or apple slices to it to enhance the taste as well as effectiveness.

Bananas

Bananas are considered a super food for treating gastrointestinal problems like indigestion and loose stools.The fruit is easily digestible and helps absorb excess acid in the stomach.
It is rich in pectin that will help solidify stools. Also, the high potassium content present in bananas helps replace electrolytes that may be lost when suffering from diarrhea.

Eat Blend Foods

 Your body needs nutrients to keep its energy up as it tries to recover from your stomach pains, so provide it with easy-to-digest foods. Choose foods that aren’t spicy, greasy, or sugar-filled including oatmeal, broths, toast, and rice. Also try to avoid dairy based foods as these contain natural bacteria which your stomach might not agree with.

Get lots of rest

. Your body is fighting a bacteria or virus in your stomach, and needs energy to do so. To provide it with the energy it needs, spend extra time sleeping and lying down. Avoid exercising or moving too much.

To settle an upset stomach or stop diarrhea, make a rice "tea." Boil 1/2 cup of rice in six cups of water for about 15 minutes. Strain out the rice, then flavor the water with a dash of honey or sugar and drink warm.

Apple Cider Vinegar Soothes an Upset Stomach

A mixture of one tablespoon apple cider vinegar, one cup warm water, and one tablespoon honey will ease indigestion and may alleviate cramping and gas in your upset stomach. It can also lessen discomfort caused by heartburn.

CRAP Diet Is Good for an Upset Stomach

If you're feeling constipated, try the CRAP diet: It stands for "cherries, raisins, apricots, and prunes," all fiber-friendly foods that should get your system moving and ease your upset stomach. 

Home Remedy for Upset Stomach  – Spices

Cardamom, coriander, fennel, ginger, fenugreek, caraway  and other herbs have a history of use as digestive aids.  Simply chew a few seeds or nibble some candied ginger to help relieve nausea, soothe intestinal spasms and help you flatulate.       

Cinnamon                 

Some studies show that, when mixed with other herbs such as ginger, cinnamon can be effective in reducing dyspeptic symptoms.
Drink peppermint, chamomile, or ginger tea with honey. These three herbs have shown to have a positive effect in reducing the feeling of nausea.
