Snow White-a fairy tale.

Disney Cartoon characters series - Snow White 2      Download free wallpapers and backgrounds for mobile phone.

"Snow White" is a fairy tale. It is known around the world in various versions. Early printed versions are found in Giambattista Basile's Pentamerone (1634) and in J. K. Musäus's German Folktales (1782). The Brothers Grimm recorded a version called "Little Snow White" (German: Schneewittchen) in 1812 in their Children's and Household Tales.  The Grimms' story is probably the best-known version of "Snow White" today. "Snow White" has been adapted many times to plays, movies, and television programs. The fairy tale features such elements as the magic mirror, the poisoned apple, the glass coffin, and the characters of the evil queen and the seven dwarfs, who were first given individual names in the Broadway play Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (1912) and then given different names in Walt Disney's 1937 film Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs

A queen gives birth to a daughter. She names her Snow White. The queen dies. Snow White's father marries an evil woman. This evil queen has a magic mirror that tells her she is the fairest in the land. One day the mirror names Snow White as the fairest. The queen is jealous. She decides to kill Snow White. The queen's huntsman takes the child into the woods to kill her. He allows her to escape.

Snow White comes to a cottage in the forest. It belongs to seven dwarfs. They allow her to live with them. She does the housework. The evil queen learns Snow White is still alive. She decides to kill Snow White herself. She disguises herself as an old woman. She tries to kill Snow White first with a bodice lace and then with a poisoned comb. She fails. Snow White lives. At last the queen gives Snow White a poisoned apple. The child falls down as if dead.

The dwarfs place her in a glass coffin on a mountain top. One day a prince rides by. He falls in love with her. The dwarfs give him permission to take the coffin to his castle. The prince's friends lift the coffin. The bit of poisoned apple in Snow White's throat is loosened. She awakens. The prince rejoices. He marries Snow White. The evil queen is forced to dance in red-hot iron shoes until she drops dead.

Butchart Gardens, Vancouver Island, British Columbia
The Butchart Gardens are a dazzling example of a successful reclamation project. The land, used for years by Portland Cement, by 1904 had exhausted its value as a quarry. That’s when Jennie Butcher, the wife of Portland Cement’s owner, filled the space with soil from nearby farms. Her vision expanded into a 55-acre (22-hectare) tract filled with 700 varieties of plants that bloom from March to October.

Singapore Botanic Garden, Singapore
Considered one of the world’s prettiest botanical gardens, the Singapore Botanic Garden was established in 1859. Its 128 acres (52 hectares) are divided into three “cores.” Bukit Timah Core is geared for educational and recreational use. In Tanglin Core, visitors can find a bandstand and many statues sprinkled among favorite native plants and trees. The most popular core for tourists is Centre. The National Orchid Garden is in this section, atop the park’s highest point, where more than 60,000 colorful orchids bloom.

Versailles Landscape, France

 Versailles Landscape, France
The famous French landscape designer André Le Nôtre laid out these gardens southwest of Paris in the 17th century at the behest of Louis XIV. The Sun King wanted them to magnify the glory of his palace at Versailles, which was itself a monument to his absolute rule. The 250 acres (101 hectares) are riddled with paths that lead to flower beds, quiet corners decorated with classical statuary, ornamental lakes, and a canal that King Louis used for gondola rides.

The psychology of Red color

Colors, can be a powerful medium to convey meaning and trigger emotions

The Color Red

The color red is the color of energy, passion and action
.source; http://www.colour-affects.co.
Positive: Physical courage, strength, warmth, energy, basic survival, 'fight or flight', stimulation, masculinity, excitement.

Negative: Defiance, aggression, visual impact, strain.
Being the longest wavelength, red is a powerful colour. Although not technically the most visible, it has the property of appearing to be nearer than it is and therefore it grabs our attention first. Hence its effectiveness in traffic lights the world over. Its effect is physical; it stimulates us and raises the pulse rate, giving the impression that time is passing faster than it is.It relates to the masculine principle and can activate the "fight or flight" instinct. Red is strong, and very basi c. Pure red is the simplest colour, with no subtlety. It is   stimulating and lively, very friendly. At the same time, it can be perceived as demanding and aggressive

The psychology of Blue color

The psychology of Blue color
The psychology of color is based on the mental and emotional effects colors have on sighted people in all facets of life. There are some very subjective pieces to color psychology as well as some more accepted and proven elements.  There will also be variations in interpretation, meaning, and perception between different cultures.Color plays an important role in our lives. It has the ability to influence emotions in a way that few other mediums can.
Positive: Intelligence, communication, trust, efficiency, serenity, duty, logic, coolness, reflection, calm.
Negative: Coldness, aloofness, lack of emotion, unfriendliness.

Blue is the colour of the mind and is essentially soothing; it affects us mentally, rather than the physical reaction we have to red. Strong blues will stimulate clear thought and lighter, soft blues will calm the mind and aid concentration. Consequently it is serene and mentally calming. It is the colour of clear communication. Blue objects do not appear to be as close to us as red ones. Time and again in research, blue is the world's favourite colour. However, it can be perceived as cold, unemotional and unfriendly.
Blue is the colour of the mind and is essentially soothing;

Lighter, softer tones of blue calm the mind and help aid concentration. These tones are serene and mentally calming.
As blue affects us mentally, the intensity of the tone affects us differently. Strong blues tones aid focused thought, whereas the lighter blue tones help calm the mind and aid restful sleep

Blue is a cool colour (as is green and violet). To warm blue up look at creating a palette that includes warm colours such as yellow, orange or red.

Blue can be perceived as a cold, unfriendly, aloof and unemotional colour as these are the negative psychologically qualities of blue. Whether you see blue as its positive or negative qualities will be up to how you are feeling and perceive the colour on any given day.
